Unmasking The Mirage Called Fame

Caution for Music Artists

Unmasking the Mirage called Fame

I think it's time to bring up the topic of fame among music artists. Let's have a conversation about this. What were you told?

"You are special because you have musical talents."

"You deserve preferential treatment above others."

"You are better than someone else and should be esteemed above others."

When your ego was inflated beyond its normal capacity and castles of grandeur were woven into the fabric of your mental regalia, what harm did it cause? And finally, at what cost?

What were you made to offer to pay for the cost of transporting you to this imaginary land of grandeur where you are the king/queen and your loyal subjects await your orders? They told you this at home, at church, in the streets, during competitions and even on the TV screen. So, you consciously and unconsciously believed it.

But is it really true? What is the truth? Truth, they say, becomes revealed with time, doesn't it?

And as far as we can begin to notice, the world post 2020 changed forever in 2020. This change is driven by information which, when passed through the fire of criticism, doubt, and disbelief, reveals the truth.

Can you see it now? The imaginary music industry crashing before your eyes. The famous ones that you look up to exposing the lies on podcasts and the democratized media.

It seems to me like we will be living in denial if we reject the truth that is staring us in the face, for fear of losing our imaginary fame that we may have paid for with more than we can afford.

Hmm! Let that sink in, pick up the pen and paper, and get to work to reinvent yourself, beginning with your value system, and not get left behind as the world continues to race against time to catch up with the truth that remains eternal.
